An eye-catching backsplash is the perfect way to liven up your kitchen.

In this first photo, the light grey/blue cement tiles are beautifully balanced with the other light and muted tones coming from the walls and the light fixtures.

For your first colour risk, try something rich and summery like this shade of baby blue.

And to add a level of sophistication, ground the look by adding darker wood floors and brass accents.
